Sufjan in Brooklyn, among other things...

Coolfer posted another one of his always helpful NYC Concert Calendars...There was one notable show on it I was not previously aware of...

Saturday, November 13th, Sufjan Stevens at Southpaw (late show)

This is too good to pass up. I love Southpaw. Tickets are available now.

There is a presale for Modest Mouse at Radio City Wednesday morning at 10. The password is KROCK. Tickets go on sale to the public Saturday morning.

Also, after fucking over their acronym-sake by putting tickets on sale the afternoon of Yom Kippur (for a venue called WARSAW, no less!), Jimmy Eat World will be playing Webster Hall November 8th. Presale is this Thursday at 4PM. The password is robc (The link doesn't work now, but it should when the presale starts...)

For anyone worried about Antics not selling well cause of the leak a few months ago, the midnight crowd at Megastore was bigger than usual and almost everyone there had a copy in hand.

I was there primarily to pick up Eternal Sunshine, which I watched last night and re-confirmed it as the best movie of the year. If you somehow missed this in theatres, I highly recommend renting it ASAP. It's a lovely film.

Tonight we will be having a going away banquet for a very good of mine, who is moving to LA to peruse his dreams of nailing slightly overweight Jews with mild-tempered dads. Steve is just about the only person I personally know who has consistently read CentralVillage from the beginning, and he will be much missed around these parts. The feast tonight is at Grand Setzuan on St. Marks, which is the best Chinese restaurant in New York City. No joke. I'll write more about that place sometime...I literally eat 3-5 meals a week from there.

Finally, I've got Veronica Mars, Real World, and The Laguna Beach premiere on the DVR tonight...Also gonna try and make it to Talib Kweli at Virgin Megastore at 8...
