West Coast Love
I just noticed that MUSE has scheduled some tourdates for the west coast in a couple weeks...They are playing some fantastic and amazingly cheap festivals:
FM 94.9 - Miller Lite Independence Jam! (San Diego)
with Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Franz Ferdinand, Muse, Death Cab For Cutie and The Secret Machines
Sunday, September 19th at 6:00pm
Tickets are $24.00*
KNDD Endfest
White River Amphitheatre, Auburn, WA
Sat, Sep 25, 2004 03:00 PM
Echo & the Bunnymen, Franz Ferdinand, MUSE, The Psychedelic Furs, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Violent Femmes, X Band.
GENERAL ADMISSION ON THE LAWN - $10.77
You can get a roundtrip ticket and hotel for under $300...(prolly cheaper if you poke around the internet a bit)...I kinda wanna goto San Diego...Being that I'm the only person in the city who was around all last week...Maybe I'll take a trip to the sunny SD and kick back for a weekend...
Gothamist Arts pointed out the opening of the Interpol-Inspired Video Installations Exhibit at a gallery in Soho. Tomorrow night from 7-10 will be the kickoff, and it looks to be a good time. I hope to go check it out before heading over to Rothko to see The Futureheads and hear Franz Ferdinand's DJ set...
Tonight's the Wrens/Nada Surf at Mercury Lounge for some quiet and intimate acoustic sets. It you're in a more upbeat mood (dance that rain away?), go see Radio 4 at Bowery Instead. Either way, you can't miss. Good night for music.
There will be a presale for Morrissey at Radio City at 12:00 noon today...I think. Interpol presale will be Friday through K-Rock...When they send me the password, I'll put it up.
UPDATE:Morrissey Presale is sold out...blogger was broken all day, so I guess this notice wasn't much help...sorry.
Central Village
West of the East Village, East of the West Village, North of Washington Square, South of Union Square...Central Village

Why does Muse hate New York??? They are going from Montreal, Boston and Philly on consecutive days...unless they come back up to NY after Philly and before DC, it doesn't look like they'll be able to squeeze in a date on that run...strange...and sad.
The password is 'seven', according to brooklynvegan
Good luck getting tickets. I'm looking forward to these shows as well.
